Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) Cemetery St Clair - B198

This cemetery is located on a hillside east of St. Clair. Mineral Lodge, No 285, I.O.O.F. was chartered in 1847 and organized in 1848. Four acres of land for a cemetery was purchased in 1865. It was chartered July 12 1866 and the cemetery was dedicated October 1 1867. An addition of three acres was subsequently made. Part 1 is listed by row and is the result of reading the tombstone inscriptions. It is followed by a comprehensive index. Part 2 lists burials in alphabetical order from the funeral records. 156 pages
